Heather YipCoordinator Associations

Heather obtained her undergraduate degree in Industrial Design from the University of Alberta and worked in the manufacturing industry in Calgary for several years. She has a passion for art and design, which led her to teach visual arts in Calgary and Kelowna. Following her passion, she pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from Emily Carr University in Vancouver, graduating in 2020.

Since then, Heather has been involved in arts and culture administration for various arts councils, art galleries, and nonprofit organizations in the BC interior. Additionally, she is an encaustic artist and showcases her artwork at public art galleries whenever possible. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and swimming in Shuswap Lake, near her home in Salmon Arm, BC, where she lives with her partner, Tony, and their two teenage children. She is very excited to join ICS as a Coordinator in the Associations Department
