Cheryl Choy Named IAPCO Driving
Excellence Award – Emerging Leader

Recognised at the IAPCO General Assembly in Athens, Greece

ICS is proud to announce that Cheryl, Head of Project Management (APAC), has been named the IAPCO Driving Excellence Award – Emerging Leader. Through the development of ICS’s Dual Role Framework, Cheryl has helped build a more agile and collaborative team model.

By embedding cross-functional training and smarter workflows, the initiative has reduced bottlenecks, strengthened engagement, and created scalable growth opportunities across ICS. Cheryl’s leadership reflects everything we believe the modern PCO should be: innovative, people-focused, adaptable, and purpose-driven.

The IAPCO Driving Excellence Award – Emerging Leader, formerly known as the IAPCO Hero Award, recognises an outstanding professional within the IAPCO community who has demonstrated exceptional leadership early in their career.

Presented in partnership with IAPCO’s Destination Partners, the award honours individuals who show measurable impact, innovation, and a strong vision for the future of the meetings industry.

Yoke Cheong, Managing Director & Account Director APACl, commended Cheryl’s achievement, stating, “Cheryl’s vision for the future of the meetings industry is not merely theoretical—it is actively being implemented by her within our APAC region and we are seeing results from her implementation. She has moved us towards a leaner and efficient structure. This initiative directly addresses the industry-wide need for greater agility and efficiency by reducing operational bottlenecks.”

Cheryl is an essential, emerging leader whose work is setting the benchmark for the “PCO of the Future.” She is not just managing change; she is proactively designing the solutions that will define our industry’s success for the next decade. We couldn’t be prouder.

Congratulations, Cheryl — your impact is shaping our future.

We congratulate Cheryl on this well-deserved recognition and celebrate the continued evolution of leadership within ICS.
