The
Challenge

Like many long-running scientific congresses, ICNMD’s performance had been closely tied to each edition’s Local Organizing Committee and Congress Chair — making it difficult to retain institutional knowledge or build consistently on prior results. The alternating program focuses between Neurology and Muscular Diseases also presented an untapped opportunity to strengthen congress identity and broaden its appeal.

The
Results & Impact

Together we implemented a unified congress structure and strengthened sponsorship engagement — transforming ICNMD into a stable, scalable, and commercially predictable event. Delegate attendance grew 110% by 2018 and 185% by 2026. SP/EX revenue increased over 700% since ICS assumed management.

These results reflect a genuine partnership — ICS, the ICNMD Executive Committee, and industry partners aligned behind a shared vision, and each was essential to this level of sustained growth.

ICS strengthened ICNMD’s commercial performance through a more consistent sponsorship strategy, improved exhibitor engagement, and a shift toward long-term planning. By reducing reliance on local market conditions and standardizing sponsor delivery, each edition built on the success of the last—resulting in sustained revenue growth and increased sponsor confidence.
