In conjunction with our 35th Anniversary Year, we've recently launched a blog that we encourage you to preview www.icsevents.com/blog. We will be featuring charities and projects we support and hopefully be hitting a few of our fundraising goals on behalf of the charities. We hope you'll get involved as well!
At ICS, we believe in fostering a strong community and paying our good fortune forward. For example, our staff donates to participate in casual Friday at the office with proceeds going to local charity. When it comes time to hold a conference, our managers are always interested in engaging socially conscious local suppliers and disadvantaged citizens wherever possible.
You can learn more about our preferred charities by clicking their logos below:
The Ndurandi Club
The Ndurandi Club serves the area of Ndurandi, an impoverished area close to the main city of Blantyre. It was started by Mrs Inglis and her friend as a meeting place for physically and mentally disabled Malawians who were marginalized in society because of so few resources. They organize art projects, food distribution and distributing donations to needy families who have been hard hit by drought, sickness or social instability. The Club started small and has grown to serve many people now. Our donations will be given to school children or used for art project to engage needed children. It has been going since the early 90s and it has no NGO support or extra funding from the government. It relies on the generous donations from churches and businesses, like ICS.
